Mahatma Gandhi University Inter Collegiate Youth 2025-26-Conducting Regarding Intimation:

In the auspices of the University Union (2024-25), the academic year 2025-26 Mahatma Gandhi University Inter Collegiate Youth Festival to be held in Pathanamthitta in February 2026.

Therefore, as per the above decision, all affiliated under the University Unions in colleges / university study departments, their college-level competitions should be completed by January 2026.

The Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) contingent brought home the first runner-up trophy at the 39th South Zone Inter-University Youth Festival 2025, held from December 19 to 23 at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai. The university’s team, comprising students from the l affiliated colleges, showcased exceptional talent across a wide spectrum of cultural events, earning accolades for both artistic excellence and disciplined teamwork.

A key factor behind MGU’s standout performance was the rigorous professional training and mentorship provided by the Directorate of Students’ Welfare. The directorate coordinated intensive preparation sessions, ensuring that participants were well-re rehearsed and strategically guided throughout the competition. Their involvement played a pivotal role in honing the skills of the students and maintaining the high standards expected of MGU representatives.

MGU’s victory adds to its storied legacy in inter-university cultural competitions, following multiple South Zone championships in the previous years and a highlight in the university’s cultural festival history.

The triumph has sparked celebrations across the campus, with officials and students alike praising the collaborative spirit and dedication that propelled the team to success. As first runner-up, MGU will now represent the South Zone at the upcoming National Inter-University Youth Festival, aiming to continue its tradition of excellence on the national stage.
